JANUARY - APRIL 2013
April 27th - SOLOMON'S CASTLE
Six of us (Martha, Sarajane and Emily, Karen, Tiara, and me) drove almost 2 hours to see Solomon's Castle in mid Florida (east of Sarasota).
We had a really nice day. Solomon is an artist who built this castle all out of recycled material. Inside on display were his various art sculptures.
We had a great tour guide, had lunch at the Boat on the Moat and we were serenaded by a Willie Nelson-type singer. He even created a song for Emily.
After we walked the grounds - really pretty

March 23 - Hospice Fashion Show at Innisbrook
Our chapter was invited to this event and it was very nice. This was not a Red Hat event but we had two tables of red hat ladies. During the year Hospice pulls the best of the donated clothes to save for this fashion show and we were very impressed with the quality of the items.
We all shopped at the boutique where some of the items looked brand new.
Seven of us went: Sharon, Diaman, Kathie, Helen, Sophie. Martha and Kathy.

Feb 23 - Mystery/Dinner Train ride Parrish, FL
Thirteen of us drove to Parrish, FL and got on the Florida Railroad Museum train for a Mystery Who Done It. Somebody stole the Malted Falcone!
The Train drove out into the "boonie's" where two big white tents were set up and they had catered in Italian food while the play continued.
Unfortunately - one of our girls became very ill and had to be rushed to the hospital where she stayed over a week!

January 4 Friday night
We had our planning meeting at Sandra's home. Unfortunately we didn't think to take a picture of the group until after some had already left.
But we planned out our year with at least one gathering a month and we will be adding more as events are made know.
Sandra was a very gracious host and we had 13 in attendance.
